When Anthony Kossi and Laurent Darie came to the JACKALOPE festival two years ago, they knew immediately that they had found an ideal way to promote their brand.

The two friends, originally from France, moved to Montreal a few years ago. But they met 3 years ago in the Quebec metropolis. Immediately, both partners clicked.

“It was during a barbecue organized by mutual friends on the Plateau Mont-Royal (laughs). During this evening, we talked, talked and talked a lot,” says Laurent.

Passionate about fashion, skateboarding, cycling and music, they spent hours getting to know each other. Two creative minds, Laurent and Anthony wanted to start a business in their own image.

“I think that’s the vibe we set up between us. It’s our project, it’s as if we had a child […] We’ve travelled a lot and we’re open-minded about the world and different cultures. That’s what has linked us.”

That’s how IMMENSE Lifestyle was born, an urban fashion brand that resembles them.

“We wanted to wear what we liked on others. In what we do, there’s a hip-hop look, but also a bit of skateboarding. It’s a very urban look.”

JACKALOPE, a key element

The world of events can weave indeniable links. It was during the JACKALOPE festival that the two entrepreneurs really found their niche. The trigger?

“Skateboarding, man! We went twice in a row to the Olympic Stadium because I was the coordinator there. It really fit with IMMENSE.”

Moreover, their brand name has a direct correlation with what they observed at JACKALOPE.

‘’When we saw extreme sports, we looked at each other and said “wow, wow, it’s IMMENSE,” it came out naturally. We did our research on JACKALOPE, we realized that it was pretty big in Canada and that’s what we needed to grow up here. It’s a company that has a lot of energy, in summer, in winter, there are always events. That’s where it started from.”

The good news is that JACKALOPE too has been seduced by the energy and talent of IMMENSE and that our two companies will collaborate to offer a collaborative collection.

“It was a great motivation for us to seek this collaboration with JACKALOPE. We had talked about having a stand at the festival in 2020, but what happened was this. But we’re preparing some stuff… including a collection that speaks to skaters.”
